Wedding Photo Book

Wedding Photo Book

Gang,

I bet many of you were taking pictures on weddings. Either as a professional photographers or just wedding guests no matter, taking photos on weddings can be loads of fun and we can never have enough good and funny wedding photos. But, taking pictures can be just a beginning of one beautiful project. So, why not take the whole deal one step further and create a Wedding Photo Book?

Now, that’s something everyone will enjoy going through, isn’t it?

It doesn’t matter if you can’t or don’t have time to make all these decorations that need to be used in such project. In this little example I made a small demo of how Photoshop brushes can help when creating a Wedding Photo Book.

Basically, what I did, I took one wedding photo, several brushes from The Ultimate Photoshop Brushes CD , mixed them all up in Photoshop and – voila! Here is the front page and the first page of Wedding Photo Book.

You can do all that. All you need to know is how to load Photoshop brushes into Photoshop document, mix them up with wedding images, play a little with colors, dimensions, brush positioning on page and Wedding Photo Book is done in no time.

Ok. I hope you liked this little example and maybe some of you will want to try and make something like this with your self. Let me know how it goes.

Love ya all,

Silvia

Wedding Photo Album Cover

Wedding Photo Album Cover

I know, this blog is mostly about Photoshop brushes. Mostly and mainly. It is also about anything and everything that has anything to do with graphics and illustrations. (Nicley put, in’nit?)

Most of the visitors of this blog (around 3000 daily, 80% are new visits) came over here through Google looking for some free downloads or tutorials. Of course, with more than 80 free Photoshop brushes sets, a dozen of free vectors and illustrations I hope no one leaves this site disappointed.

But, sometimes, just sometimes a feel the need to share some of my thoughts with you guys. It’s not like I’m some kind of hermit living in a solitude with no-one to talk to. (Although there are times when I wouldn’t mind living like that :)) But today, I’d like to share some thoughts with you.

So, what Photohop brushes and free downloads have to do with our purpose on this planet, our existence in this time and space? (If time and space exist at all).

Well, believe it or not, I have my opinion about that and maybe you will agree.

First of all (and it took me a while to come to this conclusion), I believe that we are here to be happy. That is our main purpose.

My grandma believes that we are here to good onto others and this fits my theory perfectly.

And that brings us to the topic of this blog – graphics. How?

Say you know how to do scrap booking. And say you know someone who would be glad to receive scrap book or photo album from you. And, say, you want to make this person, or couple – happy. It’s easy. Just find or take a photo of them (or him or her). Frame it properly, add some decorations, print it out and – voila!

For this post I prepared a little photo album front page idea. It’s just a start, but, as an old Chinese proverb says: To start is to have half of the job done.

So, here is this little photo album front page idea, I hope it will help you get some other ideas and make yourself and someone else happy.

Wedding Photoshop brushes

Here is what I used in this front page:
1. Hearts Photoshop Brushes Set (32)
2. Circled hearts, Photoshop brushes set (40+40)

Ok. That’s it for today’s post.
Be happy, make others happy and have fun creating!

Decorating A Wedding Photography With PS Brushes

Decorating A Wedding Photography With PS Brushes

Gang!

Since I know many of you are, one way or another, involved into weddings whether it be as a friends, family or wedding photographers it is always nice to have some cool photos from the occasion. So, I thought I’d show you how to decorate a wedding photo with Photoshop brushes.

In this particular example we used two different brushes from two different brushes sets:

  1. Swirls 2, Photoshop brushes set (36)
  2. Photoshop Brushes – Floral Shapes (37)

Here is the final outcome:

Wedding Photography

And here is how we got there.

1. Load a plain photo in Photoshop
2. Load first brushes set, in this case Swirls 2, Photoshop brushes set, 36

(Click here if you need to find out how to load and use brushes into Photoshop->)

Wedding Photography

2. Place the first brush on the photo like this:

Wedding Photography

3. Load second brushes set, in this case Photoshop Brushes – Floral Shapes (37)

Wedding Photography

4. Place that second brush it on the top of the first one so that it creates one new shape

(Find out how to color the brush ->)

Wedding Photography

5. Now, the time has come to color the right part of the image. First we need to make a selection, to do that – use Polygonal Lasso Tool (L)

Wedding Photography

6. Close the path: join beginning and the ending points

Wedding Photography

7. Click on Gradient Tool (G). Now click and on the gradient itself (upper left corner) and adjust the colors until you get something like this (or whatever look you prefer)

Wedding Photography

8. Drag the gradient with the mouse from upper left corner to the bottom right corner

Wedding Photography

9. Add some drop shadow on the first brush to enhance the visual effect. Double click on the layer thumbnail to get the “Layer style Pop-Up window”, checkmark the Drop Shadow box.

Wedding Photography

10. Adjust the drop shadow settings like this

Wedding Photography

And voila!

Add text and here is our newly decorated wedding photo!

Wedding Photography

I hope you liked it! I tried to make it as simple as possible but if there are some steps that are not completely clear please let me know.

Love,
Silvia

P.S.

Of course, don’t forget to browse through my little shop for some cool brushes and stuff :)

Make your own custom wedding album

Make your own custom wedding album

I know, there’s probably nothing wrong with good old fashioned photo albums where you just stack your photos in.

However, today, with digital imaging and software like Photoshop it takes only so much effort to create cool, custom made, little works of art that will hold the images from your, your friends or your clients wedding. And when it’s printed out, this album will not just be a placeholder for your photos, it will be like a little book that you designed and it will be unique, the one and the only that looks like that. Your own photo book.

Wedding photo album cover

If you’re not a graphic designer or if you are not familiar with vector editing software or you just don’t have the time to create graphic decorations for such a custom photo album, but you’d still like to make your own albums – then you’re probably looking at the perfect solution.

With Photoshop brushes it’s only a matter of having Photoshop* (any version from 7.0 up to CS3), pressing F5 to get the Photoshop brushes palette on screen and applying the ones you like the most to the background.

Then just add the photos and – voila! Your custom wedding photo album is all done! No need to bother creating background decorations ’cause they’re here already. Still, it’s up to you to decide which ones to use. Also, you’ll need to adjust the size and pick the colors. This can all be done real fast. To make it even faster please refer to my post about PS Brushes shortcuts.

So, if you’d like to accept this challenge, I prepared a real big collection of Photoshop brushes for you to select from. 158 of them. And here is what this package contains:

  1. Hearts Photoshop Brushes Set, 32 brushes, $9.99 | [preview]
  2. Swirls Floral Photoshop Brushes Set, 42 brushes, $9.99 | [preview]
  3. Swirled Frames Photoshop Brushes Set, 18 brushes, $9.99 | [preview]
  4. Swirled Corners Photoshop Brushes Set, 20 brushes, $9.99 | [preview]
  5. Designs Photoshop Brushes Set, 30 brushes, $9.99 | [preview]

special edition Photoshop Brushes: Wedding set

Total value of these sets (if bought separately) would be $49.95

Then I created one special set of 16 brushes, added to the bunch [preview] and decided to give it away for free!

And, in the end, I thought I’d make it a special offer and sell it all together for $39.99
How about that for a deal?
:)

I knew you’ll like it!

Get your $49.95 bundle + 16 bonus Photoshop brushes at the reduced price: $39.99 –> here ->

* For those of you who don’t have Photoshop, you can still use this package. With a little help from THIS SOFTWARE you can export the brushes into .png format and use them in any other photo editing software. Paint Shop Pro, Gimp (which is free), or … just any, because they all work with .png formats.

Sooner or later, most of us are bound to get married. If not us, then some of our friends, or family. And what nicer task can we have but to design a wedding invitation.

Celebration of Life

Wedding is the occasion when we celebrate life. Marriage comes with love and love is power that gives sense to it all. Or, at least, that’s what I’d like to believe.

So, having this in mind I thought I’d make a compilation of brushes that contributes to this philosophy.

I bundled 4 of my Photoshop Brushes sets:

1. Hearts Photoshop Brushes Set, 32 brushes, $9.99 | [preview]
2. Swirls Floral Photoshop Brushes Set, 42 brushes, $9.99 | [preview]
3. Swirled Frames Photoshop Brushes Set, 18 brushes, $9.99 | [preview]
4. Swirled Corners Photoshop Brushes Set, 20 brushes, $9.99 | [preview]

and I added one more set to the bunch:

5. Designs Photoshop Brushes Set, 30 brushes, $9.99 | [preview]

and this made one huge set of 142 brushes that I decided to call “Wedding Brushes”.

I thought how handy could those be for a photographer or designer who’s involved in wedding occasions.

And then I got inspired for more brushes! Sat down and created 16 more of them. And they turned out well. Was very very pleased. See them here: new Floral Photoshop brushes! available in this pack only

Photoshop Wedding Brushes Set Sample Graphic

And I added the new 16 Floral PS Brushes to the bundle. Now, it’s really huge package. 158 of them. (You can see them all by clicking on all those [preview] links up there.) See if you like them.

If you do like them, buy them. I sell the whole 158 Wedding Brushes package for $39.99. After getting this package – I don’t think you’ll need a new swirl or flower or heart or corner or similar shape shape any time soon.

If you like them but can’t afford, send me an email and we’ll work something out. I know how is it to be a struggling artist. I see one every morning in the mirror.

No need to mention that all of them are compatible with Photoshop 7.0, CS, CS2, CS3, CS4 and CS5.

Video Wedding Invitation

Video Wedding Invitation

So, from time to time my friends ask me to do some video for them. If I have enough time, I do it, why not. So, last week a friend of mine asked me if I could make a small video invitation for their wedding.

I took my camera (Panasonic NV-GS 180 – 3CCD – 2,3 mega pixel) and we met at the park (2 minutes from my home).

I did the video editing in After Effects CS3and – voila!

The video wedding invitation is done! Let me know what you think.

Photoshop brushes used for this:

  1. Swirls (floral) Photoshop brushes set (premium edition)
  2. Photoshop splatter brushes
  3. Simple custom Photoshop brushes set
