I noticed, ever since I started my Photoshop brushes business that many of my buyers are using Photoshop brushes to create their own custom stamps. And this is, mainly, for two different purposes (which sometimes overlap).
1. They use these stamps in their own DIY projects like scrapbooking or similar
2. And more often then not, they use Photoshop brushes to create designs for stamps which are then being sold to stamp buyers.
And this is all well. The whole idea behind my Photoshop brushes is to help you guys, not just create stuff for your own needs, but also to help you create new stuff out of it (like rubber stamps) and make some money along the way.
There are quite a few services out there offering custom stamps. Most of them offer quick and easy on-line stamp creation. Of course, although most of you will be interested in creation of custom stamps for your scrapbooking and DiY craft needs, still, you might want to have your own signature stamps as well. Or you might want to have a stamp with your logo on it.
So, in this little exercise, I wanted to see for myself how fast and how easy it is to create your own logo stamp with a little help from Photoshop brushes.
And, believe me, it was faster then I though. Before starting the process there are few rules to know.
- First, the image you’d like to have on your stamp must be in full black color. Your stamp can, later on, be in red or other color, but the image you are uploading must be black.
- Resolution of the image must be 300dpi. My brushes are in high resolution so this is not a problem.
- File formats: cdr, ai, eps, tif, psd, jpg, gif and pdf. Of course, in this case .jpg is probably our choice
So, the procedure is quite simple, create a new file in Photoshop, make it a desired size, but the resolution must be 300dpi, add a Photoshop brush which you’d like to turn into stamp and save the file in .jpg format. (Notice: You might want to crop image so that the blank space between the brush and the edge of the image is maximally reduced.)
Now, step two, on the stampxpress.com, you will go to “Design Your Own Stamp” option and upload the file. You may choose to have up to 20 lines in your stamp but in most of the cases, 3 should be enough. You also get to choose the font type, size, attribute (bold, italic, underline) and the alignment.
And this is how I created a stamp for Graphics-Illustrations.Com.
Finally, many of you will go and look for discount stamps. For these, as well stampxpress.com is probably the right address.

Today, I prepared a little something for scrapbookers. A layered Photoshop (PSD) file which is a digital scrapbooking “Quick Page”. It is a Photo mask at the same time. It is all that and more :)
So, if there is any human being still doing something else apart from writing posts and comments on Facebook, I count on you. I hope you will be reading this, maybe liking this download and maybe you will use it to create a nice graphic using some of your photos with it.
Regarding Facebook. I admit. I spend too much time on Facebook. I sit there every day for hours and I am not sure if I like that. So, I decided to proclaim one day of the week a No-Facebook day! Sometimes it is hard to find the right way to say “Thank you!” And all of us have at least someone in our lives who deserves to be thanked. And I’m not talking about just a casual “Thanks” when someone holds the door for us. I am not, necessarily, talking about our parents, family of friends. Yep. The times are tough. But, even in toughest times, the darkest hours in human history, people were still creating, making art. So, when a friend of mine approached me and asked for help in creating design of the DVD cover for their latest non-profit movie, I was more than happy to help.
My friend’s cousin is film director… she directs short movies without dialogues. Her last movie is named “Wolfgirl”… it speaks about human race, nature, animals and their relation-ship.
So, I was really happy to make a cover design for her movie:
This is the back side of the disc, here is what it says:
When the girl meets the wolf in the woods, a whole new universe is created where everything becomes possible.
Short movie without dialogue. Only a bit of howling and maybe roar or two :)
Of course, I put my brushes where my mouth, sorry, design is :)

I will make sure to provide a link to this movie as soon as it becomes available on line. I’ve seen it (of course) and I liked it a lot. It is a “zero budget, lot of time” movie with two characters, little girl and a dog. It was shot with Canon 5D Mark II camera and I just loved it. Now it will be sent to different competitions for this kind of movies and I wish it very best!

Music heals the soul,

Yes, you guessed! This post is about Cats and Photoshop brushes.
You see, somehow it happened that I have not one, but three cats. It’s a long story. It was supposed to be only one, but, well, what can I say. After a while a friend of mine had to find a home for one of her kittens, then a neighbor’s kitten decided to deliver in our garage … not once but twice … I managed to find a home for all of them, but one of them just stayed with us for too long. So, that’s three!
Anyways, In this post I wanted to share with you some of the photos of my cats and, at the same time, I wanted to make a little demonstration of what Photoshop brushes can do, so that once again, you can see how handy Photoshop brushes can be when it comes to decorating (and creating) your graphics whether it be for your commercial or non-commercial use.

Look what I’ve found! Totally cool site (no, they did not pay me a dime to say this :)) where you can upload your image (or play with some of their images) and apply totally cool retro and vintage effects on it.
I tell you I had fun with some of my images there, and down below there is one example.
It would be totally great if this application offered some Photoshop brushes too!
So, if you want to have some fun with your photos I can totally recommend: Pixlr-o-matic
And when you save the photo, it also states which effect did you apply so you can repeat it without looking for it again.
So, what I did, I played a little with one of the images I had. This is my friend Martina.

Now, as you can notice, a few brushes would really make a difference, so I added some for the decoration and the final image looks like this:

Now, what is really cool about this site is that you don’t have to know how to use Photoshop or any other photo editing tool for that matter. So, if you are a Photographer or Scrapbooker, you will just upload the image and save the version you like the most.
Then, if you want to decorate it a bit, you will have to :
- load it into Photoshop,
- Press F5 to bring the Photoshop brushes window,
- press “B” to activate the Brush tool,
- drag, drop and adjust the brush on the image
and – voila! You have a brand new creation on your desk!
All done in five minutes!

Dear All,
Today, I prepared a free desktop July 2011 wallpaper.
I named it simply – “Sunflower”. I love sunflowers and my garden is full of them :)
To me, this flower does not represent Summer and sun only, it also represents freedom, food (seeds and oil) and universal beauty. That’s why I love sunflowers!
I made this wallpaper with a little help from my friends Lightworks Photoshop brushes which are freely available to Gold and Platinum GBG members. So, to get them, join us at GBG and get access to those AND 150+ other Photoshop brushes sets, backgrounds, vector images, etc.

OK. At the time of making the previous post we were just about to reach 5000 fans on our Facebook page.
Now, not many of you knows, probably because I am not stressing it too often, but there are quite a few pretty cool downloads under “Notes” on our Facebook page. So, that’s my way of saying “Thank you” for liking it.

First of all, I want to say that there will be no free downloads in this post. This will be a “gothic” post. Loads of ashes and plenty of guilt included.
I am making this one for Lilly. And myself.
Lilly, I was wrong. Although you were not completely right in your comment (which I did not publish because it was too offensive), still, for the fact that, for a period of time I did not send “Thank you” emails with free “Antique Frames Photoshop brushes” manually, but automatically, for that part you are completely right.
Why did I stop sending this gift to everyone who took the time and effort to tell me how they found me manually?
I guess it happened when I was on the road, I just did not want buyers to wait for me to send it to them. And then I just left the system on “automatic”. I figured, nobody cared anyways. I thought that people just want to get their free brush and that’s it.
But, you proved me wrong. You did care. And you were, rightfully, disappointed after receiving an automatic reply to your email message. I am sorry for that. And, I am back, now to the old system.
And that’s basically it. When I am wrong I want to admit it.
Also, I did not betray a single word I ever stated on this blog. I am all for individual approach. Yes, I do want to meet people who visit this blog, yes I was and will always be here for anyone who ever needs my help or just someone to talk to. And this is why I am making this post. If it was not so, I would just remove your comment and leave it as it is. Also, you have no idea how wrong you were when you said that this is making me rich. I almost laughed when I read that (but then I figured, crying would be more appropriate).
You did not leave your email address so I could not send this to you. I know chances are small that you will ever read this, bit still, no matter how small they are I wanted to make sure I did what I could to let you know how I felt about what you wrote in your comment.
