Memories, burning, gold memories …
This is from one old Simple Minds song, back in the 80′s. Not many people remember that.
Well… anyways.
By the way, I don’t know about you my blogs gets tons of spam messages daily (spammy comments), and mostly are pharmacy related! And what is most interesting – I receive about 50-80 comments for prescription and non-prescription drugs! Can you imagine? Pffff…!!!
And what’s really bothers me is that I don’t have the time to check them all out one by one (through my spam comment folder), so the only option is to delete them all together. Now, when I think back, I figure it’s even possible that there were some nice friendly comments in my spam folder, but since I got rid of all comments in my spam folder, I guess I’ll never now! Hopefully, there was just spam there.
Ok, back to memories. This is really cool for scrap booking. I mean it’s cool for all kinds of graphic design projects as well, but scrap booking is kinda all about memories .
So, this time I prepared a brand new frames and I gave them the weirdest name ever :)

I got “The Pig of Happiness” mug by Edward Monkton from my sister some time ago. She brought it from her trip to London and … it instantly became my favorite mug (who doesn’t have one). It says: “May his JOYFUL SMILE remind us how much there is to be HAPPY about”
So, inspired by this totally cool “making me smile” mug, I made my own version of Happy Pigs. I gave them wings and made them fly, so now they’re called
The Flying Pigs of Happiness
and I turned them into

And I dedicated that brush to all my loving GBG members which will get it for free in our GBG eZine July 2010 edition (you too can joing GBG here ->)!

Hi Gang,

So, as I was sitting and contemplating on all this, I don’t know how, but it happened that started to draw crabs. And not just, like, any crabs, I started to draw happy crabs!
You already guessed, new Photoshop brushes set (digital stamps set) is on it’s way – Happy Crabs! The set is not yet finished, but I also made s small video so you can see how I make them.
I think I will dedicate this next Photoshop brushes set to GBG Gold members. Yes, that’s what I’ll do.

Once upon a time (that would be, like, last week) I made 20 swirled trees in my beloved vector editing program CorelDRAW! (I always make my brushes in vectors first, that way I am always sure that the high quality will be preserved while transforming shapes to brushes).
And I liked what I saw. And I made 20 Swirled Trees Photoshop brushes of 1000px and 20 2500px. This way, we avoid over re-sizing and preserve top-notch brush quality from, say, 500px up to 3000px which should be enough for any serious work.
And then, I figured, how cool it would be if the trunk and tree top would be divided. Then it would maybe take longer to create a tree, but we’d get two new features:
- combining different tree tops with different trunks
- easier coloring of tree tops and trunks in different colors
You already guess, I just could not resist the urge to make this add on, another 46 brushes and BUNDLE them all together into Swirls and Trees Photoshop brushes SET!

Here is a retrospective of what we’ve done in 2009. I had no IDEA that I made so MANY different examples on how to use Photoshop brushes during 2009! There was also a bunch of new Photoshop brushes and loads of fun!
So, without further ado, here is a small retrospective and a bunch of ideas on the topic! I hope you will like it!

As you probably guessed, the image above (yes, that’s Mirta:)) was made with this set. So, if you’re interested in making similar effects – keep on reading.
Christmas Photo Masks set contains 16 brushes:

1. What I need to do?
- You need to make Christmas graphics. One, two, tree … well, not more than three submissions please. It can be Christmas card, Christmas Party Invitation, Gift tag, Scrapbook cover … or any other graphic applied to paper or web or video any other media, like mug, or shirt … does’t matter.
- The only condition is to use at least one of the free graphics available for download on Graphics-Illustrations.Com or GreenBulbGang.Com (Hint: FREE LITE Christmas Photoshop brushes set, FREE LITE Grunge Snowflakes Photoshop brushes set, FREE LITE Snowy Skies Photoshop brushes set, FREE LITE Christmas Trees Photoshop brushes set FREE LITE Grunge Stars Photoshop brushes set…) or some of the PREMIUM Photoshop brushes or graphics (Hint: Christmas Photoshop Brushes set )
2. What size and format should the graphic be?
- It can be any size up to width 530px and height 795px, jpg or png format
3. What’s in it for me?
