In my last post I showed you how Mojca (or should I say – Irska) used Photoshop brushes in her latest Scrapbook projects.
Now is the time to talk about vectors. Actually, I owe a huge apology to vectors. They have been sooo neglected on my blog that I just can’t believe that I did that! That was wrong, wrong – WRONG!
Why?
Because, vectors are extremely useful in so many different ways. Let’s just mention some of them:
1. You can stretch them, skew them, enlarge or scale them down as much as you want and you will never, NEVER lose any quality.
2. And if you are in hurry or inspiration just won’t land on your shoulder, a pre-made vector is the best place to start. Load them into your favorite vector software, adjust them to fit your needs and – voila! You get what you needed in no time!
Nikki is one of many graphic designers who knows all about advantages that vectors offer. And, I was so happy, the other day, when I got her email. She wanted to show me how she used 30 Floral Shapes vector set to create car decal.
Now, here is what she said:
I found a couple of pieces (graphic design elements) and mixed them together, gave them a bend here and there to fit the contours of the car and came up with a new design for her.
I have attached a couple of pics of her car and hope to do more using your images.

A word or two on
30 Floral Shapes vector set

Gang,
I got one really interesting email the other day. One of our Gang members just got Smart car. And of course, she’d like to “pimp it up” with some nice graphics. So, she asked if I have any suggestions on how to decorate it.
Personally, I am a “Smart” fan. I fell in love with this car ever since I saw it for the first time back in 1999.
Well, what can I tell you. I didn’t need much convincing. Actually, it was a great fun to use some of the vector graphics and illustrations from my little shop and prepare several mock-ups. Although all of my Photoshop brushes are in High resolution, in this case it is much better to use vectors.
So, basically, as long as you provide the graphic that you’d like to have on your car in vector format, the car graphics company will be able to print it out and stick it to your car.
OK. Here are some samples created with my vector graphics. I hope you’ll like it:
Sample one: using various Swirls similar to my Swirls Vectors set (16) with a little touch of Spring Birds Vectors set (65). Purple.
Sample two: simple black floral shapes with thorns directly from Vector Floral Shapes set (30) – on sale now!
Sample three: cute girly graphic with flowers and swirls colored in pink.
Shapes are taken from Vector Floral Shapes set (30) .
Sample four: green environmental floral swirls similar to the Swirls 2, Photoshop brushes set (36)
Sample five: cool floral graphic in blue-gray tone similar to the Floral Signs Photoshop Brushes set (20).
