Well, you have no idea how much I’d like to be able to do that. But, you see, there is this guy from the electric company, waving his pointing finger and holding scissors in another hand, threatening to cut down my electricity unless I gave him money.
So, what can I do?
I mean, he looks pretty serious to me. Duh! How much nicer would life be if we did not need the money? Maybe I ask him if he wants my 800+ Photoshop brushes MEGA SET in exchange for electricity? Maybe … or if I get myself one of those free energy devices ->

before I tell you a bit about today’s download, I just have to share something else with you.
Now, how do we know that we are really, really happy?
I think, today, I discovered that “True indicator of happiness”.
We know that we are really, truly happy when we feel the irresistible urge to share that feeling with as many people in as little time as possible.
I guess that’s what makes us social beings, creatures (We are the creatures of love, as David Byrne used to say). It is possible to be happy alone, on some island too, but then again we just can’t feel truly fulfilled with that precious emotion unless we share it with others, especially the ones we love.
OK. Now I got it off my chest :) Let me know your thoughts.

It’s been a while since I made a wedding invitation template design. And that’s a shame because I created a whole 167 Photoshop brushes Wedding pack so, I guess I should spend more time showing off with those :))
Basically, the Wedding Photoshop brushes package offers 167 design elements (Photoshop brushes) which are just perfect for, well, wedding invitation or wedding stationery designs.
I know, July is not, like a wedding season. People are either on the honeymoon already, or are just being acquainted with their future life partners on some beach right now. Well, anyways, for the latter ones, here is one free wedding invitation template just to tickle their imagination :)) Just imagine the scene on the beach. Fella’ approaching a girl: “Hi, babe, I’m John. How about I show you some cool wedding invitations on the web before we go on a first date?”

Look what I’ve found! Totally cool site (no, they did not pay me a dime to say this :)) where you can upload your image (or play with some of their images) and apply totally cool retro and vintage effects on it.
I tell you I had fun with some of my images there, and down below there is one example.
It would be totally great if this application offered some Photoshop brushes too!
So, if you want to have some fun with your photos I can totally recommend: Pixlr-o-matic
And when you save the photo, it also states which effect did you apply so you can repeat it without looking for it again.
So, what I did, I played a little with one of the images I had. This is my friend Martina.

Now, as you can notice, a few brushes would really make a difference, so I added some for the decoration and the final image looks like this:

Now, what is really cool about this site is that you don’t have to know how to use Photoshop or any other photo editing tool for that matter. So, if you are a Photographer or Scrapbooker, you will just upload the image and save the version you like the most.
Then, if you want to decorate it a bit, you will have to :
- load it into Photoshop,
- Press F5 to bring the Photoshop brushes window,
- press “B” to activate the Brush tool,
- drag, drop and adjust the brush on the image
and – voila! You have a brand new creation on your desk!
All done in five minutes!

(I know, the heading is not funny, but that’s how you make an introduction to funny stuff. Just bear with me.)
I know the heading sounds like the news from the future, but the way things go, future not too distant. The world is changing, the Internet is changing too. Facebook has changed everything; the way we communicate, the way we share our thoughts images, videos and “statuses”.
Everybody’s got their own wall now days. (And some wanted to Tear Down The Wall, back in the pre-historic Pink Floyd time). If you did not change your status on the Face for more than a week, the chances are you are dead! If you don’t “friend” with your neighbor on “The Face”, he will consider you hate him and will not talk to you any more (the least to say, there have been even some physical attacks recorded for ignoring the Facebook Friendship request). Facebook even killed Second Life for heaven sake! Now, what does that say? Life on Face is soo much better! You still get to be what you want to be, but you also get to mingle with real people from the real world!
They way things are now, it seems like Facebook is taking over the Internet. When it comes to being on line, or being alive for that matter, like the common behavior these days is: a) Turn on your computer, b) Start Facebook, c) Live on Facebook, d) Turn your computer off, e) Go to sleep. I am exaggerating a bit.
Or, am I?
Yep. We are already talking pre and post Facebook time. You know these conversations:“Oooh, that was so long ago, it in pre-Facebook time! Almost nobody was alive then!” The architecture: “This house was built even before the Facebook time!” not to mention how “This guy! He is so old! He was born before Facebook even existed!”
So, when I check on my blog traffic analytics, it is obvious, most of the traffic are returning visitors, guys who just liked my posts and graphics even before the Facebook time. So, what does it say about you? I mean if you are reading this, it means that you still believe in life outside of the Facebook. So, that makes at least two of us. At least :)
Well, anyways, knowing all this, I decided that I will improve my presence on the Facebook (and there are some cool freebies on our Graphics-Illustrations.Com Facebook fan page) so, I created new Facebook Page using Facebook Template from pagemodo.com. It’s easy to customize and easy to install it: as long as you know how to make cool graphics (or have some cool Photoshop brushes) you should have no problem doing the same for your Facebook page :).
So, this is what my new “Welcome” Facebook page looks like. And the graphics there were done with a little help from my friends – Photoshop brushes / Digital stamps.
As most of you know, Photoshop brushes/Digital stamps are here to help you out creating graphics for all purposes. Here is what I used to create the Facebook Welcome page.

Dear All,
Today, I prepared a free desktop July 2011 wallpaper.
I named it simply – “Sunflower”. I love sunflowers and my garden is full of them :)
To me, this flower does not represent Summer and sun only, it also represents freedom, food (seeds and oil) and universal beauty. That’s why I love sunflowers!
I made this wallpaper with a little help from my friends Lightworks Photoshop brushes which are freely available to Gold and Platinum GBG members. So, to get them, join us at GBG and get access to those AND 150+ other Photoshop brushes sets, backgrounds, vector images, etc.
