For today, I prepared a digital scrapbook page for kids.
Actually it is for parents but I thought they’d fit the kids room the best.
This is what it looks like:

- Insert your kids photo into the quick page
- Print it out on your color printer (letter format)
- Frame it and put it on the wall
It is a totally cool decoration for your kids room, it is customized and easy to do, so everyone can do it.

I never expected to receive soo many comments as I did for my Shanghai-shoes post.
Honestly, I never thought anyone is reading my posts, or blogs in general, any more. I thought that everyone’s just gone to Facebook!
But nooo.
You know, that day, as I was getting ready to make the Shanghai-shoes post, I figured I’ll just write a little something for myself… you know. Since my hubby doesn’t listen much lately (well, for the last few years, that is) and my cats are less and less responsive, it became totally normal that I speak to my self, talk to my self … Hell, I am even telling jokes to myself. And I laugh at them too! Ha! What do you know. I even laugh now as I am writing this. (Hubby is starring at the TV – speechlessly. Will go over and hit him in the face. I don’t thing he would notice anyway.)
Sigh!
Now, I don’t want to be too harsh on my cats, you know. I mean, what can you expect? Peacco is always kind enough to inform me when he’s ready to make a poo-poo in front of THE hubby’s study room (why does he need it anyway? There’s no TV there, so he is never there too. Will take away this room from him and give to Peacco.) Should I blame Peacco for doing a poo-poo there? Of course not. It’s a normal competition between two males. So, Peacco is showing off a little in front of my hubby’s study room. The problem appeared when hubby decided that it’s payback time and wanted to do the same to Peacco’s favorite chair. I barely talked him out of it. I really don’t think Peacco would get the message.
Ah! Men!
Anyways, I think I should go now as I think I hear Peacco’s call from the upper floor … (yes, that’s where my hubby’s study room is).
So, girls, be patient with your men, no matter if they aren’t listening, at least you get to giggle a bit as they’re frantically looking for socks in the morning, late for work, and you told them, last night, as they watched soccer (football/news/Romance channel … of course I am kidding about the Romance channel) that you’ve put all their socks in the deep freeze.
Ha! They had to be cooled off a bit.

How would you like to be paid fairly for your work?
“Now, what kind of a question is that?” I hear you ask.
Of course, everyone would prefer to get a fair pay for the work they do, but, unfortunately, as you probably know, the gigantic proportion of people around the world are not lucky enough to get fair wage by their employer.
Many big international corporations are abusing (and contributing to) poor conditions and huge unemployment rates in poor countries and their corrupt governments are allowing them to pay ridiculously low wages for their work.
As a matter of fact two billion of our fellow citizens who, despite working extremely hard, survive on less than $2 per day.
I know, you don’t like it too. Thankfully, there were many other smart, ethical and able people who did not like it either so they started a Fair Trade Organization and in order to support the case, I want to dedicate this post to all citizens on our planet who are underpaid, exploited and humiliated for the sake of the profit for their employer. And why today? Because, today is the World Fair Trade Day.
Basically, the idea behind the Fair Trade Organization is – help people from poor countries sell their products on a global market for the fair price. This will, in most of the cases, be the same prices as you would get in “normal stores” but this time, WFT inspections confirmed that the persons who made the product were fairly paid for their labor. Sometimes these prices will be higher, but not because someone is making profit on their work, but because logistics behind getting the product to your country were expensive. However, the bottom line is that the one who made the product was fairly paid for it. So, ever since I discovered that there is an organization doing that, whenever I run into a product with this logo:
I try to buy it (especially when it comes to coffee and chocolates and pralines :)).
Because, no matter how hard it is with the shortage of money these days, we all need to remember those who are having much more difficult times than us.
So, there are many stores around the world with that logo. New ones are being opened every day and that is a good sign. It means that the world is awakening. People are beginning to see what’s behind the unnatural wealth of 0,05% of the world population and the misery of 90% of the population. So, next time you run into the WFTO logo, you will know what it means.
In these stores they sell all kinds of products: Accessories,Art, Bag, Clothing, Collectibles, Crafts and Gifts, Glassware, Home Decor, Jewelry, Pottery, Toys, Woods … but also coffee, tea, chocolates, etc… you name it.
I particularly feel for woman from undeveloped countries selling their stuff on a site like this http://www.fromherhands.com/. Probably because I am a woman too, making my own stuff and trying to make a living out of it.
Anyways, as I said, we all want to paid fairly for our work and since I truly believe in “do onto others as you would like others to do onto you” principle, I wanted to help the cause. By buying Fair Trade products and supporting the case on my blog.
Be fair, love each other and hug the person next to you… now!

“Download paper backgrounds.” What a dull heading. I mean, surely, this post contains some pretty cool paper backgrounds for download, but …
… I wanted to name it something else. I wanted to name it: “Some Thoughts on Happiness and “Shanghai-shoes”.

Ok, for those two of you who stayed and are willing to bare with me through this totally cool article – thank you for staying. I should give you something as a reward. Actually, you know what?! I will give you something. Here is the link to another paper backgrounds set and, as a reward for bearing with me, these are yours. This what you get and they don’t. Ha!
What am I doing? Where was I? Ah, the Shanghai-shoes and the precious emotion of happiness. The inspiration came to me as I walked thorough the field of grass in my front yard. I stopped at some point. Looked down at my **Shanghai-shoes (please read the explanation below) and the grass and the flowers. And, for some reason, I just felt happy. I had to take a picture of that. So, in the header you can see the image of happiness. Maybe it was not your first thought when you looked at it, but, well, that’s how I perceive happiness.
And the happiness is the meaning of life. (That’s if you ask me. Let me know if you have a better idea on our purpose here :))
OK. That’s it. I hope I managed to transmit the message of happiness. It was nothing else, just a sunny day, some green grass and a flower. That’s all it took for me to detect happiness somewhere within my chest. Pretty amazing, if you ask me.
Anyways, here is the free paper backgrounds download, I hope you will like them and enjoy them and make some pretty cool stuff with them.
Now, there is one more thing I wanted to share with you.

**Please note that the term “Shanghai-shoes” is copyrighted as I came up with it ;). Maybe. Or at least I never heard of Shanghai-shoes before so, in my mind, I came up with it ;)
But you can use that term, ok. Just don’t tell anyone else about it. Let’s make it a secret code of ours “Shanghai-shoes”, have you ever been to Shanghai, by the way? I haven’t. I’d rather go to Norway if you ask me. Not that there is anything wrong with Shanghai, of course. It’s just that I am more of a “Norway” type. OK. So much about the “Shanghai shoes”. Talk soon and – feel the happiness, it sits there in your chest waiting for you to notice it. :)

It happens, from time to time. People ask me: “Why would I buy vector graphics instead of Photoshop brushes. I mean brushes are cheaper”. Legitimate question.
Sometimes, people also ask me: “How can I use vectors that you sell in Photoshop?”
Well, that ‘s alsol a legitimate question. And I am going to provide some answers. Here. And now.
For the first one, regarding the comparison between Photoshop brushes and vectors, vectors have one huge advantage: You can resize them as much as you want and you will not lose a bit of the quality. Not a single bit. So, for instance, say you just like one part of the vector shape and you’d like to include that part into your design. And, furthermore you’d like that part to be particualrly big. And, in addition, you want to make your design print ready (say: at 300dpi). Now, that’s something. And, if you know a bit about Illustrator, you’d like to modify this part of the shape … now, all this is not a problem when you have vectors. Whether it be eps or ai file, both of them can be imported into Photoshop, in any size of the document, at any resolution, these shapes can be resized as much as you want and twist them, and bend them and squeeze them, stretch … put them in the 3D perspective, you name it. It is all possible with vectors.
And finally, you can easily make Photoshop brushes with vectors.
Now, I hope this answers the question of advantages of vectors.
Now, why would I want to get Photoshop brush in this case? – I hear you say.
Well, there are two main reasons:
- Price – Photoshop brushes are cheaper
- Time – when you are in hurry, it is much faster to just load the brush and place it wherever you want and if you buy my brushes, the size will not be an issue to as I tend to provide two different sizes to all my PREMIUM brushes, so that you don’t have to overstretch them and so that the quality is preserved despite the resizing.
Ok. Now, for the second question: How do I load and use vector shapes in Photoshop?
As they say, a picture speaks a hundreds words, so I made a gazillion pictures and placed them into a sequence and what did I get? You guessed - a video. A video that shows how to load and use vector shapes/files in Photoshop.
